The A02743 Connecting Rod Kit with Bearing have been DISCONTINUED and will not be available again as a replacement part assembly.
We suggest not performing the repair on the twin cylinders units any longer because most other wear parts required for a complete and accurate repair of the twin cylinder pumps have also been discontinued including Alignment washer, counterbalances, eccentrics, eccentric pin and without all needed part we see multiple premature failures.

The A02743 and KK-4835 Kits both used the ACG-1 Connecting Rod, the difference was the A02743 has a pre-installed bearing with no screw to tighten the bearing and the KK-4835 Kits did not have a pre-installed bearing but instead had a screw in the bottom of the bearing that would allow a new bearing to be installed, but needed to be centered and aligned properly before use.
It is recommended on Twin Cylinder Air Compressor Pumps that both cylinder have equal pressure.

Failure to equalize the pressure may result if premature failure of any new parts that are installed due to the air output being out of balance.


Meaning if both connecting rods or at least both cylinders are not replaced at the same time the possibility for a connecting rod to prematurely fail are greatly increased.

When installing the A02743 Connecting Rod kits it is very important to make sure all of the parts are aligned and working properly as well as torqued to the final specifications.
Take time to inspect all of the parts and it is very important to start by checking the alignment of the Eccentric Pin.
With a straight edge or dial indicator you want to make sure the ACG-8 Eccentric Pin Shaft is not out of round because if this is damaged at all it will cause excessive vibration and can cause the rods to continue to break.
Make sure the counter balance lobes are both clean with no rust or particles on the inside of the mating surfaces.
Check the ACG-9 Alignment washer that goes between the 2 connecting rod to make sure the lips are not damaged and that then fit inside the connecting rod bearings properly when the unit is being reassembled.
Make sure the counter balance lobes are aligned properly according to the instructions that came with the parts.
The torque value of the nut that holds all of this together need to be 85 to 90ft lbs.
This is important because snug plus a little on this setting can mess up the entire repair and cause more damage.
