The Honeywell VS8520E Gas control valve has been discontinued as a service replacement part from Honeywell but can be replaced by a certified HVAC contractor with the following kits.
These kits are a general replacement kit with bracket and igniter and come with various components to allow for the replacement of the Honeywell VS8520E gas valve.
These VS8520E Replacement Kits are designed to only work with the Honeywell VS8520E series gas valve that has the Inlet and outlet ports on opposing sides of the gas valve and will not work on any VS8520 Series gas valves with the inlet and outlet ports on the bottom of the gas valves.
The correct kit must be ordered for the specific gas type that is being replaced.
VS8520E Shipped as natural gas with a Blue Hi Lo Cap uses VS8520E-NGKIT-SM when a side mount pilot assembly has been used, or VS8520E-NGKIT-TM when a top mount pilot assembly has been used.
VS8520E Shipped as liquid propane gas with a RED Hi Lo Cap uses VS8520E-LPKIT-SM when a side mount pilot assembly has been used, or VS8520E-LPKIT-TM when a top mount pilot assembly has been used.
Note:
If you are replacing the VS8520E Honeywell Gas Valve in a Lennox IHP Fireplace, we recommend using the specific Gas Train associated with the model of your complete, direct vent fireplace.
