CAC-1120 Orange Silicone Sleeve brass fitting replacement kit.
Please Read Installation Instructions before ordering:
The CAC-1120 Silicone sleeve can be replaced with the CAC-1120B heavy duty replacement kit.
We do offer a 1/4 male x 3/8 Female compression sleeve kit with Loctite 271 to replace the silicone sleeve.
Our service department has been installing and using this kit as a replacement for several years without any problems.
To properly install the CAC-1120B Service kit fitting make sure to clean the threads in the aluminum head of any debris from the previous silicone sleeve.
The 1/4 threads are not an exact fit... we do realize this but after the loctite cures we have never had a problem with the fitting coming loose.
Apply a liberal amount of the Loctite 271 Threadlocker to the brass threads of the new fitting and to the thread of the aluminum head.
Install the brass fitting into the aluminum head and tighten securely be careful not to over tighten and damage the threads of either the brass fitting or the aluminum head.
Allow the Loctite 271 Thread Locker to cure for 24 hours! After the Loctite 271 has cured install the 3/8 Compression fitting and nut to the 3/8 aluminum outlet pressure tube.
Push the tube into the 3/8 fitting that was previously installed into the head.
While holding the outlet pressure tube firmly into the brass fitting tighten the 3/8 compression nut to the compression fitting.
This should now take care of any previous leaks at this connection point.
