AF-1000S Solenoid Valve Replacement Kit American Flame LMF Series Gas Valves

The AF-1000S Skytech On/Off  Solenoid replacement kit is the 6 Volt solenoid valve for the American Flame AF-LMF series latching gas valves.

The AF1000S Solenoid is designed specifically for the Skytech American Flame series gas valves with the On Off latching type solenoid.

AF-1000S Replacement Instructions:

1)   Remove batteries from receiver:

2)   Disconnect Red and Black wires from the AF-1000S Solenoid connections coming from Receiver Box:

3)   Remove the E-Clip on the top of the stem that holds the old solenoid on the valve

4)   Slide the old Black 2 wire solenoid magnet off from the stem of the valve.

5)   Slide a thin walled deep well 20MM socket over the solenoid valve shaft and turn counterclockwise to carefully remove solenoid valve.

6)   Inspect inside gas valve for any type of debris before installing new AF-1000S Solenoid 

7)   Install the new solenoid valve with the silver piston and spring exposed carefully and start tightening by hand to align threads.

8)   With a 20MM deep well socket tighten the solenoid valve to 85 Inch pounds.

9)   Slide the new AF-1000S 2 Wire Black solenoid magnet back on to the stem in the same directions as the one you took off.

Note: This would be the smooth side facing up away from the gas valve.

10)   Install the E-Clip back on the stem and make sure the clip is securely in the grove.

11)   Reconnect wires in the same order and to the same color as they were removed.
