R12908 IFC Control Board CSA Complete Power Ready Valve

The R12908 Empire IFC control board is designed to manage electronic ignition, pilot flame supervision, and core operating functions in compatible Empire hearth appliances. This integrated fireplace control module supports automatic ignition sequencing while continuously monitoring pilot operation for safe and reliable performance.

When the R12908 IFC control board is used as a replacement for Empire part numbers R11523 or R12383, the R12270 module jumper wire may be required to bypass the power-vent combustion blower contact pins at connector X12, depending on the appliance configuration.

This control board is configured to manage main burner on/off operation and supports both intermittent pilot ignition (IPI) and continuous pilot ignition (CPI) modes, allowing flexibility based on appliance requirements.

The Empire R12908 IFC control board directly interfaces with the pilot assembly and controls compatible SIT gas valves, including models 880, 885, and 886, using low-voltage electrical signals.

Primary power is supplied through line voltage (AC), with an integrated battery backup system available during power interruptions. When operating on battery backup power, comfort fan and lighting features are disabled.

In addition to burner control, the R12908 IFC board supports auxiliary functions through a compatible remote transmitter, including multi-speed comfort fan operation, adjustable accent lighting levels, and on/off control of auxiliary outputs.
