D27227 Pressure switch 4 port

The D27227 Porter Cable DeWalt pressure switch is a 4-port switch fixed at 105 PSI cut-in and 135 PSI cut-out pressures and does not require an external unloader. 

This switch has unique connections for the molded cord and only has one set of spade contacts inside the switch.

This D27227 switch is an OEM replacement part, meaning that Furnas Hubble originally made it for air compressors by DeWalt, DeVilbiss, Sears Craftsman, Porter Cable, and others.

The pressure switch is used to control the operation of the air compressor. It senses the pressure in the compressor tank and turns the compressor on and off to maintain the desired pressure. 

The four ports on the switch are used for the following.:

The supply line port connects to the air compressor’s inlet valve; the outlet line port connects to the air compressor’s outlet valve.

The safety valve port relieves excess pressure from the compressor tank, the pressure gauge port measures the pressure in the compressor tank.
