The 102548-08 Hot Surface Ignitor HSI is the original equipment replacement part for many of the portable heaters made by DESA International.

This 102548-08 Ignitor replaces all previous part numbers for the 2 wire Ceramic Cigarette Cylinder style Hot Surface Ignitor used by Desa Heaters, Dayton Heaters, Master Heaters, Reddy Heaters, Remington Heaters as well as many other heaters using this style HSI

The 102548-08 Ignitor pictured is the most current style 102548-08 Model 601 Hot Surface Igniter and is triggered by 120 volts from the circuit board and will glow until the heater starts.

The 102548-08 Ignitor is very fragile and must be handled with care when replacing this part.
Never touch the black ceramic electrode when replacing the 102548-08 Ignitor or the life of the 102548-08 Ignitor will be dramatically reduced and immediate failure of the igniter may occur.
