The 20030 Refractory Panel for the Left and Right Side Wood Burning Fireplaces is made to order and requires a minimum of 3 week lead time for the refractory to be made and cured for shipping.
The time can be extended up to 5 weeks during certain times of the year if this item shows not in stock
From time to time we have had reports from our customers concerning uneven coloring on the fireplace brick panels that ship as replacement panels.
These refractory panels are made from a poured refractory material that cures with time and heat.
As these panels cure, variation in coloring diminishes across the panel surface resulting in an even and consistent appearance.
Heat exposure from fireplace use will greatly decrease curing time and will help remove any visible discoloration.
This may also been magnified due to different aggregates having been used by the different companies.
The aggregate selected for the ongoing product has a slightly darker tone than previously used in the Russellville Alabama facility.
We want you to realize that darker colors and moisture will correct itself after the first few fires, but the manufacture is exploring ways to improve the color upon receipt.
