RV83FI.4.9 REGULATOR DUAL FUEL RV83FI SERIES

The RV83FI.4.9 RV83FI-4/9 Regulator is a Dual Fuel Gas Regulator that is used on many of the Pro-Com, Kozy World, Procom Select and Hearth Select vent free gas appliances that are set up and equipped to run both Natural Gas and Liquid Propane Gas.

The gas supply connects to the appliances' internal gas pressure regulator.

This regulator controls and regulates the flow of gas through the appliance but it does not replace the external regulator required on all installations.

Natural Gas utilities commonly install an external regulator near the gas meter; however, since LP cylinders can be installed by the end user the necessity to install an external regulator between the tank and appliance should not be over looked.

The internal regulator will also close permanently if connected to gas pressure that is too high.

Connecting a LP gas heater to an unregulated gas cylinder with a gas pressure exceeding 14 inches of water column can destroy the internal regulator, a common consumer mistake.
